POLAND 2012

A DIFFERENT KIND OF PROJECT…

South Africa was something else, but the Poland Legacy Tour gave 30 football fans a fantastic volunteer experience in Poland for the 2012 European Championships.

Inspired by the Legacy Tour in South Africa two years earlier, Lionsraw completed some fantastic work within the capital city of Warsaw.

WHAT WE DID

Across the 2012 European Championship, Lionsraw volunteers engaged with young offenders caught up in Poland’s prison system. We held football tournaments and worked hard to renovate facilities throughout the prisons and in some local schools.

LASTING LEGACY

Our work in Warsaw, Poland carries on through our very own Mark Harrison. Mark is based in Poland and continues to engage with young people on a weekly basis in schools across Warsaw. His programs use football to develop life skills as well as football skills.
